Chapter Context

There were many prophets in Israel who spoke for God. This chapter is on them and their role. They had a great role in leading the Israelites to the right path. It also gives idea on the teachers of the Church. It tries to create awareness in children that we too have to lead a life listening to the word of God.

Pictures of the Doctors of the Church, pictures of children who are involved in various activities, Holy Bible, chart paper
Presentation of the lesson

Teacher carries pictures of: a child trying to touch the flames of a lamp, a child peeping into a deep well, a child sleeping in front of an open book etc and ask them how the parents or elders would react to these kids at such situations. Teacher has to iterate that it is to correct children to the right path that parents/elders react so. Then she can move to the prophets who lead the people of Israel.

Help students to write down the names of the prophets and display the same in the class room. The groups can be named after the prophets.
