This chapter is about the leaders who had been appointed by God to lead and guide the Israelites. This group includes the Kings as well as the Priests. This chapter demonstrates the importance and prominence that the leaders had in the life of the people of Israel. It also deals with the present leadership in the Catholic Church.

Presentation of the lesson

The chapter can be presented through a story. Once all trees gathered together to elect a king for them. They elected the fig tree. But the fig tree withdrew itself admitting its unworthiness. Then the name of Olive tree was proposed and the olive tree also did the same. in the same way many of the good and talented trees kept away from being elected as King. Finally the thorny bush was elected as the king. And it started reigning and it squeezed all other trees. This story is to be presented in detail and necessary changes can be made in it. After giving the essence of the story, you may proceed to the chapter.
