Chapter Context

This lesson presents the announcement of the birth of Jesus and the Holy Mother who fully cooperates with it. Mary's good life was the cause of God's favor. This lesson helps to inculcate the good habit of cheerfully obeying what God asks of us through our parents and siblings.

- Angel Gabriel announced to Mary the good news of the birth of our Saviour Jesus.
- The annunciation of the birth of our Saviour Jesus is the good news.
- Mary gave her consent to God’s will. Thus she became the Mother of Jesus, the Saviour of the whole humanity.
Attitude

- Like Mary we should live in grace, filled with God’s grace.
- As Mary accepted the will of God, we too must accept His will.
Habit

- Obey even those things which, you think are difficult to obey.
- Recite “Angelus” everyday with faith.

- Holy Bible, Photos of Mary, Joseph, an Angel, Map of Nazareth (holy place).
Presentation of the lesson

You can have a discussion on the various ways that we get news. God made known a ‘breaking news’ through – Angel – continue with presentation of lesson. While explaining the lesson, make use of blackboard and other equipments at appropriate occasions.
